Sri Venkateswara swamy temple in Amaravati build by TTD.
The TTD board going to be bulit the temple of Lord Venkateswara at the State capital of Amaravati at a cost of ₹150 crore. The construction of the temple would be taken up in the 25 acres of land allotted to it at Venkatapalem (Thulluru mandal) in Amaravati. The temple architecture which shall be a fusion of Pallava, Chola, Chalukya and Vijayanagara styles shall be initially built in five acres and the rest will be developed in a phased manner to suit the temple requirements.
The temple coming up at Amravati will draw inspiration from all of these temples.
Flamingo Festival : Flamingo festival at the famous brackish water lake Pulicat in Nelapattu Bird Sanctuary located at Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh.In Sullurupeta held from January 20,21,22.
This festival is being held for the last 16 years to attract tourists to the sanctuary from the state and neighbouring states but lack of publicity has been the reason for poor attendance from the neighbouring state. This is one of the reasons for planning wide publicity in Chennai city to highlight the unique festival to the metro citizens and generate interest to ensure their attendance.
Flamingo festival provides an unique opportunity for people, particularly ornithologists, environmentalists, bird watchers, forest and tourism officials to not only study the bio-diversity of Pulicat and Nellapattu Bird Sanctuary, but also initiate measure to conserve the bio-zones for future generations. Pulicat lake, which is spread over an extent of 460 sq km, has Sulurpet, Dorvari Satram, Vakadu and Kota mandals in Nellore district bordering it. Thousands of birds of nearly 240 species visit the lake during winter. The annual visitation of birds, makes Pulicat and Nellapattu, a visual delight.
The winged species will prepare nests, brood the eggs and return to their native places along with their young ones by April.The migratory birds regularly visiting the district, include pelicans, flemingos, painted strokes, red legged cranes, pintails and black-winged birds.
Andhra Pradesh’s Hot Air Balloon Festival at Araku Valley from January 18 to 20.
15 countries with 20 Hot Air Balloons participating in the festival being organized by AP Tourism in association with Delhi based E-Factor and Sky Walt, the names behind the popular Taj Balloon Festival in Agra. A team from Delhi was on a two-day visit to the Araku Valley to finalize the event location. The camping site and balloon festival venue has been identified and the festival will be organized on a par with international standards.
The Araku Hot Air Balloon Festival will feature 20 balloons from countries like the UK, Switzerland, the US., Japan, Malaysia and Taiwan. The specially shaped balloons will resemble iconic characters, such as Bruno Clown, Honey Bee, Baby Car and Happy Chicken.
