To reduce holiday crowding and smoothen ticket bookings, Indian Railways has launched a special Round Trip Package, offering a 20% discount on the base fare of return tickets when you book both your onward and return journeys together. This pilot scheme is ideal for festive season travelers, especially during Diwali and Chhath.

** How to Book via IRCTC Rail Connect App**
Open the app and tap “Train”.
Choose the “Festival Round Trip” option.
Read the terms carefully and proceed.
Search for trains for your onward journey (Oct 13–26), select your train (excluding dynamic-fare trains), enter passenger details, and pay.
Once booked, you’ll see a “Book Return Journey (20% Discount)” button on the confirmation page. Tap it to continue.
** Booking via RailOne App (All-in-One App)**
Log in and navigate to “Avail Festive Package”.
Book your onward journey for dates between Oct 13–26.
After confirmation, click “Book Return Ticket (20% Discount)”.
Ensure your return travel is between Nov 17–Dec 1, with the same route, class, and passenger details.
Proceed with payment to complete the return booking
** Important Things to Note**
Discount applies only to the base fare of the return journey.
Tickets booked under this scheme are non-refundable.
The scheme is experimental and intended to manage train traffic efficiently during festivals.
