Krishnaveni idol will install for Krishna Pushkaralu By Telangana government

Hyderabad: The state government will install a statute of goddess Krishnaveni on the banks of the Krishna at Beechpally in Mahbubnagar for the first Krishna Pushkaralu in the new state. It will be unveiled by Chief Minster K. Chandrasekhar Rao on August 12, when the pushkaralu begin. The old statute, made of concrete and Plaster of Paris, was damaged during the floods in 2009.

Sculptor N. Nagababu from Gouthampally in Telkapally mandal of Mahbubnagar district was chosen to prepare the two statues. An official from said that one statue would be unveiled at the Hanuman temple at Beechpally on the banks of the Krishna near the Pushkar ghat and another at the collectorate to mark the first pushkaralu. “When the collector visited Telkapally earlier, she was impressed by the sculptures designed by Mr Nagababu picked him for his skills,” the official said.

Mr Nagababu, a student of prominent sculptor Janardhanacharyulu of Ongole, said he was given the order 10 days back and work begun the same day. “We will hand them by August 7,” he said. Each statue will be 10 feet tall, and the sculptor has opted for Martur stones from Prakasam district. “The black and blue stone from Martur has a long life,” he said.

He said that the statues would be expensive, with raw material and craftsmanship costing about Rs 1.5 lakh each.

Amaravati is the main attraction for krishna pushkaralu 2016

Amaravati the new capital of Andhra Pradesh is the main attractions for coming Krishna Pushkaralu.
Already many works are done and some of the ghat works are in final phase. Krishna Pushkaralu has been proposed at old Amaravati ghat with a length of 1.5 km.
Especially the big 125-feet height Dhyana Buddha statue is going to be decorated and going to be feast for the visitors to look at it.
Amaralingeswara temple and the ghat near to it is also developed. Being one of the temples of the holy Pancharamas, many visitors are going to be expected.

Tirumala Srivari temple at Krishna Ghat Vijayawada

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has begun to setting up a replica of Tirumala temple at PWD Grounds in Vijayawada to enable pilgrims to have darshan of Lord Venkateswara during Krishna Pushkaralu. The replica temple will be opened for darshan on August 7 after performing special rituals. It will be a major attraction during Krishna Pushkaralu scheduled from August 12 to 23.

Devotees will be offered `Chakkera Pongali’ and `Pulihora’ as Anna Prasadam apart from Mini-Laddu prasadam. Anna Prasadam will be served to 25,000 devotees every day. The temple premises will be under the surveillance of CCTV cameras as over 75,000 devotees are expected to have darshan of the Lord every day.

The Parakamani Hundi counting activity will be carried out amidst tight security, he said.The TTD will organise many devotional programmes during the 12-day river fete to enthrall the visiting pilgrims. Veda Ghosha will be held twice a day.

Andhra Pradesh utilise Pushkarams to promote Amaravati tourism

Andhra Pradesh government, which is utilising all kinds of platforms to promote Brand Amaravati across the globe, is now gearing up to utilise the ensuing 12-day Krishna Pushkarams, beginning on August 12,  to promote Brand Amaravati in a big way.
A series of events, including tourism promotion events, cultural programmes, laser shows and food festivals are being planned during the 12-day mega event.
“This is the first Krishna Pushkarams which will be organised in the capital region in the reorganised state and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu wants to make the river festival a memorable event. We are, therefore, making all-out efforts to make the event successful,” principal secretary (endowments) JSV Prasad has said.
Prasad, who is supervising the arrangements for the Pushkarams, held a review meeting with senior officials of the departments concerned at the Secretariat here on Thursday.
“We want to utilise the event to promote Amaravati and all the important tourism, cultural and religious centres situated in the districts of Krishna, Guntur and Kurnool where the festival is being held. We want people to not only take part in the Pushkarams but also see other religious and tourist places,” he said.
According to Prasad, four projects are coming up in the Amaravati region under the Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spirituality Augmentation Drive (PRASAD), which will help in the beautification of the capital region. Under PRASAD, the Centre has sanctioned about Rs  40 crore which will be utilised for the Amaravati heritage development project, development of Sri Amaralingeswra Swami temple, lighting of  the 125-foot-tall Buddha statue in the capital region and the river front development project.
“All these projects will be ready before the commencement of Krishna Pushkarams. We want pilgrims and visitors to witness the development taking place in Amaravati,” he said. 
About three crore people are expected to take a holy dip in the river during the Pushkarams. Vijayawada, Vedadri, Mopidevi and Hamsaladeevi in Krishna district; Amaravati and Sitanagaram in Guntur district; and Srisailam and Sangameswaram in Kurnool district will attract lakhs of devotees from far-off places.
The government plans to construct about 125 new bathing ghats and renovate around 150 temples which are situated on the banks of the Krishna in Kurnool, Guntur and Krishna districts. According to a preliminary estimate Rs  3,846 crore will be spent on  various developmental works planned to coincide with the Pushkarams.
The roads and buildings department has sought Rs  1,961 crore, irrigation department Rs  664 crore, municipal administration and urban development Rs  970 crore, panchayat raj department Rs  140 crore and health department Rs  48 crore.
Free medical facilities for Amaravati residents
Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh government has decided to provide free medical facilities to all residents of Amaravati under NTR Vaidya Seva Scheme.  Only those people who are residing in the capital city as on December 8, 2014 will be eligible for this scheme. This scheme will be in implementation for 10 years. Currently, the government is providing free medical facilities to BPL families of the capital city and now it would be extended to all the residents of the city.

Andhra Pradesh Government is planning to start Krishna Nitya Haarathi at Krishna River. It will be done every day from Pushkarams, near Pavitra Sangamam, where Godavari water meets Krishna. The priests would be on a floating Platform and give the 9 haaratis. The DVR foundation, in collaboration with Durga Temple, are going to do this event every day.
Below are the sets, A total of 10 sets are prepared, from which the nine aarthis would be given, its cost around Rs.18.5 lakhs, Prepared by Sri Sarvani Industries Arts and Crafts.

Krishna Pushkaram will start soon. The State Government of Andhra Pradesh is going to organise Krishna Pushkaralu form 12th August 2016 to 23rd August 2016. AP Minister Manikyala Rao announces Krishna Pushkaram Dates recently. The decision was taken form TTD Asthana pundit Sri Tangirala Venkata Krishna Purna Prasad garu.

Krishna District Vijayawad, Vedadri, Mopidevi, Hamsaladeevi, Guntur District Amaravati, Seethanagaram & Karnool District Srisailam, Sangameswara Temple. AP Endowment Department expected a large number of piligrims visit these places during pushkaram.

 Krishna Pushkaralu : 

Pushkaram is a holy festival that is celebrated once in every 12 years at each of the 12 major rivers of India, the Krishna is one among them.
it is a 12-day festival of worshipping the river. Every 12th year Jupiter’s entry into the constellation Virgo (Kanya rasi) marks the Pushkaram for Krishna. The celebrations include reverence of ancestors, spiritual discourses, devotional music and cultural programmes.
Theoretically, the festival lasts as long as Jupiter remains in the corresponding zodiac sign (generally, for one year).
However, it draws major crowds only during the first 12 days. The first twelve days are known as Adi Pushkaram, and the last twelve days are called Anthya Pushkaram.
