First Group Of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra Pilgrims Reached Tibet

The first group of  Kailash Mansarovar pilgrims (58) reached Tibet Autonomous Region of China on June 20th through the Lipulekh pass.
According to Mr.Ashok Joshi, General Manager of Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam(KMVN), the nodal agency for the yatra"The pilgrims crossed over into Tibet through the Lipulekh pass located at 17,500 feet on way to Kailash-Mansarovar at 8:15 am".

"All the members of the batch were safe. They were found medically fit by Indo-Tibetan Border Police or ITBP doctors during a check-up at Gunji.

"The batch will spend seven days in Tibet where the pilgrims will have a darshan of the holy Mount Kailash then return to the pass" Mr Joshi said.

The duration of the pilgrimage is 21 days – 14 in India 7 days in China.

Hot Air Balloon Festival Araku

Andhra Pradesh’s Hot Air Balloon Festival at Araku Valley.
15 countries with 20 Hot Air Balloons participating in the festival being organized by AP Tourism in association with Delhi based E-Factor and Sky Walt, the names behind the popular Taj Balloon Festival in Agra. A team from Delhi was on a two-day visit to the Araku Valley to finalize the event location. The camping site and balloon festival venue has been identified and the festival will be organized on a par with international standards.
The Araku Hot Air Balloon Festival will feature 20 balloons from countries like the UK, Switzerland, the US., Japan, Malaysia and Taiwan. The specially shaped balloons will resemble iconic characters, such as Bruno Clown, Honey Bee, Baby Car and Happy Chicken.
