History of Kondaveedu Fort

The fort was originally built during the 12th century by the Reddy dynasty and later came under the rule of several empires including the Vijayanagara Empire, the Qutb Shahis, and the Mughals. It is said that Kondaveedu once served as the capital of the Reddy kings and was home to over 20 smaller forts in its vicinity.

The architecture reflects a blend of military design and cultural heritage, showcasing gateways, ramparts, and ruined structures that narrate stories of its glorious past.
