Tirumala SSD Tokens 2026: TTD Restores Normal Timings, New Divya Darshan Rules Explained

 Tirumala SSD Tokens 2026

Good news for Tirumala devotees! With the summer vacation rush now largely over, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has restored the normal issuance process for SSD (Slotted Sarva Darshan) Tokens and Divya Darshan tickets.

Pilgrims who have not booked online darshan tickets can now obtain free darshan tokens through designated TTD counters in Tirupati without the extreme crowding and overnight waiting that were common during the peak vacation season.

This update comes as lakhs of devotees continue planning their Tirumala pilgrimage during the monsoon and upcoming festival months.

Major Relief for Tirumala Pilgrims

During the summer holidays, thousands of devotees queued overnight for free darshan tokens. With pilgrim footfall returning to regular levels, TTD has reverted SSD token issuance to its standard schedule.

Token Issue Time: 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Darshan Date: Next Day

Required Document: Aadhaar Card (Mandatory)

These free SSD tokens allow devotees to obtain a scheduled darshan slot without purchasing a Special Entry Darshan ticket.

SSD Token Issuance Centres in Tirupati

Devotees can collect tokens at the following locations:

Srinivasam Complex

Located opposite Tirupati Central Bus Stand.

Facilities include:

  • Free accommodation halls

  • Waiting areas

  • Pilgrim assistance services

  • SSD token issuance counter

Vishnu Nivasam Complex

Bhudevi Complex

Situated near Alipiri Bus Stand.

One of the major SSD token distribution centres operated by TTD.

Important Update for Walking Pilgrims

TTD has also clarified the current process for Divya Darshan tickets.

What is Divya Darshan?

Divya Darshan is a free darshan facility provided to devotees who walk to Tirumala through designated footpaths.

The scheme encourages traditional pilgrimage and provides faster access compared to general darshan queues.

Divya Darshan Tickets Available Only for Srivarimettu Route

According to the latest TTD update:

Eligible Route

✅ Srivarimettu Footpath

Pilgrims walking via Srivarimettu can obtain Divya Darshan tokens.

Not Eligible

❌ Alipiri Walking Route

Currently, Divya Darshan tickets are not being issued for devotees walking through the Alipiri footpath route.

This is one of the most significant changes pilgrims should note before planning their journey.

Where Are Divya Darshan Tickets Issued?

Eligible pilgrims walking through Srivarimettu can obtain tickets at:

Bhudevi Complex, Tirupati

Tickets issued are generally valid for the following day's darshan.

Aadhaar Card Mandatory

TTD has reiterated that Aadhaar verification remains compulsory for:

  • SSD Tokens

  • Divya Darshan Tickets

  • Accommodation allotment

  • Several darshan categories

Pilgrims should carry:

  • Original Aadhaar Card

  • Mobile number linked to Aadhaar

  • Valid photo identification

Why TTD Restored Normal Token Timings

The decision follows:

  • End of summer vacation season

  • Reduced pilgrim congestion

  • Improved crowd management

  • Better accommodation availability

  • Easier darshan scheduling

TTD officials have reported a significant decline in the extraordinary rush witnessed during April and May.

Current Tirumala Darshan Situation

As of June 2026:

  • Darshan waiting times have reduced considerably.

  • Accommodation availability has improved.

  • SSD token collection is smoother.

  • Pilgrim movement is more organized.

However, weekends, holidays, and festival days continue to witness heavy crowds.

Upcoming High-Rush Periods in 2026

Pilgrims should plan carefully during:

Srivari Brahmotsavam 2026

Scheduled in September 2026.

During Brahmotsavams:

  • Several sevas are suspended.

  • Accommodation becomes scarce.

  • Darshan demand rises sharply.

Annual Festivals

Heavy crowds are also expected during:

  • Krishna Janmashtami

  • Navaratri

  • Vaikunta Ekadasi booking periods

  • New Year pilgrim season

However, pilgrims planning to walk to Tirumala should note the important clarification that Divya Darshan tickets are currently available only for devotees using the Srivarimettu footpath and not the Alipiri route.

Devotees are advised to carry Aadhaar cards, arrive early at token centres, and monitor official TTD announcements for any further changes ahead of the busy Brahmotsavam season.
