Rajahmundry to Tirupati Flight Service Launched by Alliance Air

A landmark for regional connectivity in Andhra Pradesh — the direct flight service between Rajamahendravaram (Madhurapudi Airport) and Tirupati was officially inaugurated on October 1, 2025 by Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu. his milestone shines a new spotlight on spiritual tourism, regional development, and convenient travel for devotees and local residents alike.

Inauguration & Launch

  • The service was flagged off at Madhurapudi Airport (Rajamahendravaram) by Andhra Pradesh’s Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh, while the Union Civil Aviation Minister inaugurated the route virtually from New Delhi.

  • MP Daggubati Purandeswari also participated in the launch ceremony.

  • Alliance Air will operate the route on three days a week: Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

Schedule & Fares

  • The first leg from Tirupati is scheduled at 7:40 AM, arriving in Rajamahendravaram at 9:25 AM. The return flight departs Rajamahendravaram at 9:50 AM and lands in Tirupati by 11:20 AM.

  • To boost initial adoption, the first 35 seats are priced at ₹1,999, and the next 35 at ₹4,000 for the first three months.

  • All initial tickets sold out rapidly, indicating strong demand.

Tirupati is one of India’s foremost pilgrimage destinations. A direct connection from Rajamahendravaram allows devotees from the Godavari delta and surrounding regions to reach the temple city more easily, bypassing longer road or rail travel.

Minister Naidu indicated that a second terminal at Rajahmundry Airport is underway. He also hinted at future flights connecting Rajahmundry with Shirdi, Goa, Ahmedabad, Varanasi, and possibly an additional service to Bengaluru.
